Laura teaches students in styles ranging from classical voice to musical theater. Her school aged students audition successfully in UIL District Solo & Ensemble contest, TMEA All-State Choir, public school and community theater, and college music degree programs.
Laura's love of music was inspired by her involvement in church music from a young age. Her love of classical music and opera began in school choir programs in Klein ISD, where she lives and teaches today. At 14, she began private lessons and found great success in high school choir and the TMEA All-State Choir and Solo & Ensemble competitions as an outstanding soloist. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Abilene Christian University, studying with Dr. Julie Pruett and graduated Cum Laude. She completed her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Baylor University as a student of Mr. Jack Coldiron with a Graduate Assistantship in 2008. She was also a featured soloist of the world-renowned Baylor A Capella Choir. Ms. Vacek has performed both domestically and internationally performing with regional and national orchestras as well as performing title roles in many operas.
She finds joy singing and leading worship in her home church. Laura's love of music and students is the cornerstone of her studio and your student's success and enjoyment of singing is her focus.
